Hello human, I’m in search of a new home. I’m looking for a roommate who will let me just exist in the house with zero expectations outside the occasional nod hello. I expect good food and in return I may allow you to pet me. Maybe. Not guaranteed. I’m not likely to bother your allergies as I prefer to keep a good distance from you. I also won’t run up expensive vet bills mostly because I will not allow you to take me to the vet. I also prefer a human who won’t move to a new house anytime in the next 15-20 years. Did I mention I hate being put in a carrier? There’s no limit on how many housemates I’ll approve, and I do prefer cats and even dogs to people.Honestly I think I sound like a dream come true.
Here’s what my foster human has to say about me:
Aramis is a gentle soul who is still learning to trust humans. He prefers to social distance except for on occasion when he is already relaxed and comfortable, like when he’s up high in his cat tree, or as lounging in the sun on the window sill. He enjoys human companionship in other ways- he will hang out near you or wait outside your door. He will ‘slow blink’ you across the room (that’s cat-speak for ‘i love you’) or he will sit a couple feet away on the couch and knead. He is especially food and treat motivated and will come tearing across the house if he thinks there’s a treat waiting for him and has no problem eating right out of your hand. He loves to play with other cats and is very affectionate with them. He would be a great companion for another cat or a pet for a human who likes his space and can love him as he is.
This kitty is currently in a loving foster home and has been tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, has age appropriate vaccinations, and has been spayed/neutered.
